rai 1: *makes a character come out twice without him ever uttering the word gay* *doesn't have to think twice about using the f-slur* *doesn't condemn the relationship between a teen and a much older woman* *you smoke weed once and you end up in the hospital*

rai 1, at every chance they get:

you showed sex scenes between an underage boy and a grown woman
you showed sex scenes with no relevance to the plot between side characters
you showed sex scenes that involved cheating
but you couldn’t show a sex scene and could barely show a kiss between the two age appropriate main characters
the difference between all of them? the first three ones are straight people, and the last one are queer people.
this is what italian television really is. what rai is. no matter how progressive they try to look, they’re all but that. 
i am so sorry for the wasted potential of this beautiful series and its super talented actors. and i wish italy actually cared about queer representation.
