The Rich Moms in Bridge Club were always complaining they couldn’t keep ‘staff’. They asked my mother why turnover at her work and our house was low. She said: “Simple. I pay more than the going rate. I remember birthdays. They get a Christmas bonus, and as much great coffee as they damn well please. Also lunch.”
“-I’m not doing that.”
“Then have fun dusting.”
